DEADPOOL CONSTITUTION
1. Weekly submissions. Each member submits two names every week. Submissions open Wednesday at 12:00 AM and close the following Wednesday at 12:00 AM. Miss the whole window and that week is forfeited.
2. Name criteria. Each pick must be famous enough that their death gets widely announced, one must be 40 or older and one 40 or younger, neither may already be on the active deadpool, and both must fit the week's theme.
3. Forfeits. Extreme circumstances (family emergency, no internet) get case-by-case leniency from the group. Each member also gets one free leniency every six months, which is not stackable, transferable, or exchangeable.
4. The frog. When the week opens, the first member to post the frog gets bragging rights for the week, may mock the others, and submits first.
5. Weekly theme. One member submits a theme each week, rotating. All picks that week must fit it.
6. Theme timing. Next week's theme must be posted before the current week closes so it is live when submissions open. Posting late, or before the previous week's entries are in, gets the theme banned, the submitter mocked viciously, and the others pick the theme. This rule also carries a once-per-six-months leniency.
7. Bonus points. The theme submitter may attach bonus rules to their theme, awardable to the other members only. Nobody is obligated to chase them. The top bonus scorer each cycle gets a custom flair and bragging rights.
8. Cause of death is required on every submission, serious or otherwise. A winner whose cause turns out accurate gets an additional award.
9. Prize. When an entry dies, the non-winning members pool resources to buy the winner a prize.
10. Deadline side bet. Each member also picks a seven-day window in which they think a death will happen. A death in your window that was not your name earns a small award.
11. Trifecta. Correct name, cause, and window earns a major prize worth more than the other two combined.
12. Reset with rollover. After a winner is announced the pool restarts, except the previous two weeks of submissions roll into the new cycle.
13. Recycling names. Anyone may pick a name from a previous deadpool, regardless of who submitted it before.
14. Three branches. Disputes go to the Judiciary, who consults the rules as written by the Legislative, and the ruling is enforced by the Executive.
15. Misconduct by any one member can be overridden by the other two branches, with punishment decided by consensus of the non-violating members.
16. Rule changes may only be proposed after a name dies and a winner is declared, but before the next week begins.
17. By participating, all members acknowledge they are terrible people.
